Objective: To co-lead the EU-funded MEDUSA project (2019-2022) under the ENI CBCMED Program, focusing on adventure tourism product development in Jordan. This included managing research, capacity-building activities, subgrant programs, and marketing initiatives to enhance sustainable destination management and support the growth of adventure tourism.
Key Activities:
Managed the subcontract for conducting adventure tourism industry research in Jordan, assessing market trends and development opportunities.
Organized and provided technical oversight for capacity-building activities focused on sustainable destination management, adventure tourism product development, and business best practices.
Co-led the design and implementation of the MEDUSA subgrant program, ensuring alignment with project goals and overseeing implementation across project partners, including training and mentorship for grantees, as well as developing implementation and monitoring tools and templates to support effective grant execution.
Supervised the execution of the subgrant program in Jordan for 6 sub-grantees, ensuring compliance with project objectives and supporting grantees in achieving impactful results.
Supported the development and execution of marketing initiatives, promoting Jordan as an adventure tourism destination within the MEDUSA project framework.
Represented the MEDUSA project at local and international conferences, presenting best practices and key deliverables to promote project achievements and sustainability efforts in adventure tourism.
Coordinated project technical reporting for Jordan, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and project objectives.
Led cross-border activity implementation, including coordinating a study tour to Buglia, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration among project partners.
