Objective: to support the team of experts in analyzing and identifying product-level opportunities and constraints in Jordan’s tourism sector from a price perspective across five high-potential market segment - beach and sun, cultural heritage, faith, adventure tourism, and MICE, by benchmarking them against regional and international competitors to inform the government’s policy agenda and drive sustainable growth.
Key Activites
Engaging with stakeholders across government, private sector, and development organizations to align strategies and ensure effective collaboration.
Support research and benchmarking studies to assess tourism pricing, competitiveness, and sector performance against regional and international destinations.
Assessing sector constraints through stakeholder consultations and market surveys, addressing key challenges in transportation, accommodation, site management, and sustainability practices.
Facilitating focus groups and discussions with tourism service providers, hoteliers, and policymakers to collect qualitative insights and validate findings.
Supporting the development of data-driven recommendations, including strategic interventions, policy adjustments, and industry best practices tailored to the local context.
Identifying opportunities for investment and sector growth, emphasizing sustainable tourism development, high-value visitor attraction, and enhanced visitor experiences.
